A TASTE OF EACH
This workshop is a mixture of the main points mentioned below. It introduces the concepts of body image and self-esteem, discusses several body image and eating disorders, and introduces activities in which participants can practice in order to build up their confidence.
Participants are challenged to reflect on the difference between how we view ourselves and how others view us.
To address the way media affects how men and women view themselves and to discuss the eating disorders of anorexia and bulimia.
To break the misconception that both genders do not experience body image and self-esteem concerns equally and to dive deeper in to body image disorders such as body dysmorphic disorder and muscle dysmorphia.
To identify how peers, family, and your everyday environment influence the way one perceives themselves.
To find your beauty and hold on to it by focusing on the positive characteristics we each carry.
